Target Audience

Our film opening targets a very specific age of 15-30 years old, as the opening of our thriller stars teenagers in the online world. Teenagers nowadays are very familiar with online social networking and talking to strangers on the internet more than adults are. What the average girl in our opening deals with, a lot of teenagers can relate to as she goes through  the social problems of today's youth. Our short opening targets the specific issue of being safe online which a lot of teens of today can relate to, and how some people online are not who they say they are and teenagers who act without thinking could land themselves in a dangerous situation. 

Our film targets both genders as what happens in the opening can happen to either gender, it targets teenagers as these types of issues mainly occur with young people, who can often be too relaxed with what they reveal about themselves on the internet. Furthermore we have decided to target the older teenagers and people starting and finishing university and sixth form/college because even though the issues that occur in the clip could happen to younger people, our overall film as a thriller and not a documentary raising awareness to teens displays some violence and scary scenes that exaggerate to an extreme the situations, and they have to be able to have the initiative to realize what is more likely to happen and what is completely fiction made to create suspense and tension within our thriller.
