Analysis of Credits Panic Room

Analysis of Credits
Panic Room

The credits for the film Panic Room, are shown over several different angles of the New York skyline, the colours of the buildings are very muted, low toned greys and blacks, shown with little bright sunlight among the buildings.

The font of the credits are  in capital letters in silver  very big and bold but matching to the muted scenery, they are formal and sophisticated resembling newspaper headlines. There is a sense of urgency about the large letters, and they appear in time with the music which is fast paced upbeat and has quite a sinister tone, suggesting the film is a serious thriller rather than a light hearted comedy.

Credits are also shown above the busy New York streets with passing cars and cabs, busily creating combustion and noise and an unsettling ticking noise sets into the background indicating time running out as each credit appears.

The first credit to appear is the film company which is Columbia, followed by the production company Hofflund.

Then followed by lead actress then lead actor and supporting actor and actress, and other actors/actresses,  then the title of the film, then more actors /actresses

Then followed by costume, casting, editing, designers etc, and the writers and producers and finally the director.
